Norway to America

When Opera released version 8 of their browser last week the company’s CEO, Jon S. von Tetzchner, said he would swim from Norway to America if it was downloaded one million times in the following four days.

Unfortunately for him the target was reached and, being an honest man, he is now faced with actually doing the swim. This morning he stepped into a fjord and set off accompanied by Opera’s PR manager, Eskil Sivertsen, who says he will row alongside him in an inflatable raft to keep him company. You can follow his journey on Opera’s website where daily updates are promised.

OK, so it’s all probably a publicity stunt and Jon isn’t really going to try to swim all that way. Is he?
